You would have thought Transport for London would know where their own tube stations are ... but as this photo of one of the signs at Finsbury Park shows, they don't! (Here's a hint: Highbury and Islington isn't on the Northern Line...). Time for a quick email to TfL methinks...

Having looked at the picture, that sign is clearly a very old one. The clue is the connections at King's Cross which don't include the Hammersmith and City line. And as any tube historians out there will confirm, the line from Finsbury Park to Moorgate was, until the 1970's, a spur of the Northern line. So, the sign needs to be replaced, but was correct when originally placed... |
