More on Brian Paddick and the London Mayor
Well – it looks from this morning’s papers (Mail and Times) that Brian Paddick is a serious runner to be our (Lib Dem) Mayor candidate. Good thing I’ve said nice things about him on this blog!

Despite disagreeing with Brian Paddick’s decision to stand for a political party, particularly the Liberal Democrats, I would anyhow wish him luck with the Mayoral election.
As a former serving officer of the Metropolitan Police Service, and as someone who has given a noticeable service of policing to Londoners, he is aware of the significant problems facing the Met. If elected, I hope that he can in his position as Mayor, encourage people from BME and LGBT to join the Met and to see the Met as a worthwhile career. I, as Brian Paddick, want to see a police service that is truly reflective of the people of London.
