The three keys to international development
This 
afternoon was my big set-piece speech in the main conference hall - on international development of course!
afternoon was my big set-piece speech in the main conference hall - on international development of course!We need to recognise that one of the big problems with effective foreign aid is that the most effective development projects are the small scale and local – like solar cookers.Answers in the full speech on my website.
But these small scale projects don’t scale up well to making a difference to a whole population, to a whole country or to a whole region.
So what is to be done?

HOMO SAPIENS, however, IS … no different to ALL these other manifestations of nature - other than the fact that this kind, this species has been endowed with FREE WILL.
At this time of crisis - in Vimala Thakar's and many others' words - a switch - from negative to positive, rights to responsibilities, indiscipline to discipline - has to take place as has been so eloquently proposed by Lynne Featherstone in her speech to conference.
