Article 3 of Protocol 1 to the European Convention on Human Rights requires that Great Britain as a signatory states to hold free elections.<br/>It is common knowledge that Yom Kippur is the most solemn and important day in the Jewish Calendar.<br/>To deny a citizen the right to vote is a breach of their basic Human Right.<br/>Please add your name to this blog if you in favour of Haringey Council changing the day to another day bearing in mind that at this time of the year there are a number of other religious holidays including non-Jewish holidays. Do you think that this episode which you describe is either <i>more</i> disgraceful or <i>less</i> disgraceful than the practice of <a HREF="http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/judaism/jewishethics/circumcision_1.shtml" REL="nofollow">circumcising infants for non-medical reasons</a>? “Haringey Council have completely refused to change the day! Disgraceful.”

Disgraceful? That’s quite a strong word. So let me ask you a question Lynne. Do you think that this episode which you describe is either more disgraceful or less disgraceful than the practice of circumcising infants for non-medical reasons?
