I obviously made it too easy for the squirrels who have been nicking the bird food – so am off to take a course in design, architecture and engineering!

Last spring I thought I’d do something nice for the bird and put up three different feeders that I really thought were in places our squirrels would either not look or get to.
I came home from work the same day and all three had been pulled down, their contents scattered and a whole square kilomoter’s worth of scrounging squirrels were greedily devouring the last remnants.
Perhaps one of your architectural colleagues, like your fellow Brookie Richard, could come up with a dsign and we could debate it at autumn conference!
There is an answer to this.

I have done this and once they find their own feeder they leave the bird food alone!
