It is obvious that MORE not less money is essential to bring its services up to a normal standard. To 'wither' the Whittington is a bad service to everyone in the 3 boroughs surrounding it - a disaster for Highgate and the Archway in particular. The health service is doing things on the cheap, like our support for soldiers in Afghanistan. It will not work out for anyone but the accountants who seem to be scrimping and saving. Let's have MP's, Authorities, Boards who are brave enough to put money where their mouths are. War, health, education 'On the Cheap' will surely lead to an emaciated UK. Is that the aim then?
