Lynne Featherstone MP, welcoming the news that following a recent safety assessment, TfL and Haringey Council have agreed to move the 144/W7 bus stop from Muswell Hill to outside Boots on the Muswell Hill Broadway in the autumn:
“I’m delighted to see that my long running campaign to get the bus stop moved has really been successful.
“It’s good to see common sense prevailing, and that after the safety assessment, the bus stop will now finally be moved.
“This is tremendously welcome news, not least for residents who travel from Muswell Hill to Hornsey Central, and those who are less mobile. Getting down that hill has been a nightmare for many of my constituents.
“I’ll be sure to check-out the new accessible bus stop once it’s up and running. In the meantime, a big thank you to all local residents who helped me get the bus stop moved.”

I congratulate you and residents’ in securing this important agreement with TfL and Haringey Council to move the 144/W7 bus stop from Muswell Hill to outside Boots on Muswell Hill Broadway in the autumn.
I must stress how bad the Hill can be for disabled people, particularly during the rain when people are running for the bus to get town Hornsey Central. Well done again.
Great news
Autumn has come and gone, winter is nearly over, and the bus stop still hasn’t moved. Some follow-up needed, I think!
