Despite charging a sky-high Council Tax, Labour-run Haringey Council can't even keep our streets clean. I regularly receive many
complaints from around the borough about missed rubbish collections, dumped rubbish which hasn't been cleared, bins that haven't
been emptied and other similar problems.
Along with my Lib Dem colleagues on Haringey Council, I have scored some significant victories. We have got the Council
to extend the green-box recycling scheme and to sharply increase its budget for removing graffiti.
You can get my graffiti fighting fact-sheet here and
you can report any spots which need cleaning up here.
You can read below some of the actions I and my colleagues have taken to get these
problems sorted. It often takes a lot of persistence to get the Council to clean our streets and open spaces!

The Council left leaves uncleared in Hillside Gardens for many weeks - until I gathered some of them up and dumped them on the town hall steps!
